It's getting closer....you can hear the cursing, the thumping of feet on turf, screams of pain as shins and ankles get swiped from late challenges....
Goalkeepers?
You can't go past Mignolet for value....he earned points last season and he's behind a better wall although slightly adventurous. Petr Cech will have to come into calculation as Chelsea play 2 games in the first week both home to Hull and Villa.....seemingly 2 to 3 goals spreads with no leaks!
Where's the cream?
Swansea are a good attacking team under Laudrup but their first 6 games are going to bloody test their resolve? You'd think the EPL punished them for their swashbuckling manner last season?
ManU ->SPurs->Baggies->Liverpool->Palace and Arsenal.....boy what a challenge.
On the flip side you have Southampton's relatively easy start. Baggies->Sunderland->Norwich->Hammers->Liverpool-> and Palace....all very enticing encounters. Which midefielder is going to offer more assists to Lambert and Rodriguez? Puncheon, Lallana? Wanyama was Scotland's young player of the year before his move. He can score goals and bully opposition. But how bad is Luke Shaw injury? The attacking defender is key to Southampton's season.
EPL fantasy or flop

The EPL forwards..the 2 L's
Hell, only a week to go before the EPL 2013-14 begins and the blood pressure has kicked in!
WHo to choose? What price is right? Which Spanish player should I leave out? Which Belgian player should I keep? Is Suarez staying or leaving? Will Aguero be used at all by Pellegrini as it seems he will favor Dzeko who had started only 16 games but netted 14 times ? So long Tevez, you've been a good numero uno. Who will feed Dzeko? Silva ....new boy Jesus Navas? Silva was quiet last year...still a dynamite packed into 5 foot 7 frame....much like Juan Mata who kicked more goals last season but who has Lukaku to setup and judging by his Baggies time....this guy is going to put plenty past the last line of defence.
But what of Lambert? He did it all and was quite strong up front and for a guy who was 31, he finished with 15 goals....finishing 7th overall last season...and was the top-scoring Englishman to boot. Ricky loves going one-on-one with opponents and this makes him such a challenge because he's no small dude and he's not without power.
